ConnectWise Manage Today
The Today screen is a great place to start your day in ConnectWise Manage.
Each pod gives different information about your daily and weekly tasks as well as lists additional resources you can access. But the Today page is more than lists and links. Various types of reports can also be added to a Today page. By adding the Business Report Card module, a user can see information regarding their performance and effectiveness. Shortcuts to frequently run pre-populated or custom reports from the Manage Reports List and Report Writer can also be put on this screen. A Dashboard can be also be added to see key performance indicators (KPIs) of the company’s performance.
Business Report Card
Business Report cards provide users insight into their progress by measuring their performance against KPIs (key performance indicators) in their area of the company. (There are four prepopulated business reports cards in Manage but you can create custom report cards in the setup tables (System > Setup Tables > Business Report Card). Once a member is assigned a Business Report card, the report can be added to their Today page by clicking the Customize button (top right of Today page), right clicking on an empty portion of the screen and selecting Business Report Card from the Add Module drop down.
Business Report cards are specific to the user logged into Manage. Putting a Business Report card on my screen will show MY performance in the defined KPIs. The Business Report Card will appear as a scrollable pod on the Today Page.
Reports
Add shortcuts for frequently run reports to your Today page. All prebuilt reports accessed from within a module’s report list or from the All Reports link will have a “Add to My Reports” link at the top of the screen.
Clicking this link will open a window where the report can be named and set to display on the Today Page.
The link to the report will be a shortcut on the Today page and clicking it will direct you to the run report screen to run the report.
Report Writer
Report Writer allows you to write and run custom reports on your database, but some great reports are already provided for you. (Navigate to System > Report Writer and review the Standard Reports under each system module)
There are two ways to add a shortcut to your favorite Report Writer report to your Today page; add it to the All Reports list and adding a link like described above or creating a new tab on the Today page.

Once your report is referenced in the All Reports list, simply add a shortcut to the Today page like you would for any other report as described above.
A dashboard can be added to the Today page as a separate tab allowing you to see key and up to date metrics about your company right from the Today page.
