Today Screen | ConnectWise Manage

ConnectWise Manage Today

When logging into ConnectWise Manage, the first page seen is the Today page. Most users simply skip over this page without really understanding how useful it is for reviewing and planning their day; and that it can be personally customized.

Over the next few editions, we will be giving a tour of the Today page and its features – including adding reports and dashboards here. Hopefully, you will learn to appreciate this page as much as we do.

The Today screen it built with individual pods.  Each pod displays different information about your daily and weekly schedule as well as lists additional resources you can access. Your Today page may have a few more items then this one, but this is what the Today page looks like for most ConnectWise Manage users:


In/Out Board:
Using the In/Out Board ensures notifications will not be missed and that clients are being responded to in a timely manner, even if an assigned resource is out.

 

 

Set yourself as in or out of office. When a member is set to “out of office”, ConnectWise automatically add the member designated as their “Report To” as a cc to all their notifications. If a Report To isn’t designated the Team Lead will be the cc. (“Report To” is set on the Details tab of the Member screen)

 

Selecting “Out of Office”, will open a window where you can add information about the reason and duration of your out of office status. (The “Gone To” types can be adjusted on the In/Out Types setup table System > Setup Tables > Category =General, Table = In /Out Types)

 

 

   Did you know your dispatcher can view the In/Out Board to see the status of all members at one time from any page in ConnectWise?

 

Click the drop down next to your username in the upper right corner of any screen and select the In/Out Board. This opens the in/Out Board showing the status and notes for all members in ConnectWise. Using In/Out statuses, your dispatcher can know where people are and when they are expected back!

 

 

Notices: You won’t miss an important required submission if you review your Notices.

Here you receive information about missing or rejected timesheets and expense reports or any records awaiting your approval. Notices sent by the ConnectWise company may also appear here (ex. End of year tasks or any EULA needing signature). Clicking on a link for one of the notices will allow to access that item.

 

 

My Activities: We recommend starting your day here and updating any past due records; either reschedule them or send them to your dispatcher to reschedule. The past due activities should be kept to a minimum.

This pod provides a summary of all sales, project and service activities and tickets to which you are assigned and tells you which ones are due this week or past due. Clicking on the activity type will take you to a list of those records.

 

 

Today’s Activities: This is an easy way to see all the things you need to get done in a day. As you complete a task and mark yourself done the record is greyed out.

Here is where you see the list of activities or other items scheduled for you for the current day in order. Click on an individual link to access that record.

 

 

Finally, the Links:

Creating Links ensures your entire team will be able to access all the sites they need from within ConnectWise

ConnectWise provides links to popular sites as well as to other products in the ConnectWise ecosystem. These are also customizable.

You can add links for your entire team with the Today Page Categories and Today Page Links setup tables. Create categories and group links together.
