How to use iCalConnect
- Set up your service ticket as you normally would – Summary, Details, etc.
- Set the scheduled resource date and time.
- Set the “Status” in the scheduled resource section to “Invite” and save. (The "Invite" Status was installed during setup of iCalConnect*)
- Change the service ticket Status to Scheduled (or whatever your protocol instructs) and save/close the ticket.
The iCalConnect system will poll your ConnectWise Manage system shortly and the meeting invite will be sent to the contact of this ticket for whom you just performed the changes.
If the client changes, requests modifications, or denies the meeting request, providing you have used an email address associated with an email connector, it will write the information into the ticket as a reply and the ticket will show “Client responded”.
NOTE: During registration, iCalConnect should create the “Invite” Status for you. However, if there is an issue creating the Status, you will need to create it manually. To do so, go to System > Setup Tables > Schedule Status. Create a new item with the name “Invite”. Spelling must be exact.
