The latest ConnectWise PSA Patch Update 2024.18 introduces significant changes to Manage Administrator permissions and introduces new roles for time and expense management.
Here’s what you need to know:
New Location for Managed Administrator Permissions
The way Manage Administrator permissions are configured has undergone a major update. Previously, the Manage Administrator checkbox located in System > Members > Details Tab > System Pod granted permissions to:
- Reverse time and expense approvals.
- View and edit all projects, regardless of project team assignments.
With this update, these permissions have been migrated to Security Roles for improved flexibility and control.
New Roles Added to the Security Roles Matrix
Two new roles have been introduced to enhance the permissions framework:
- Time Reversal: Grants permissions to reverse time entries.
- Expense Reversal: Allows the reversal of expense entries.
Additionally, the existing Project Headers role remains unchanged and continues to allow:
- Adding, editing, deleting, and viewing projects.
