Recent Update Prevents Unbundling Agreements | ConnectWise PSA

UPDATE NOTE:
ConnectWise has decided to revert the following change noted below, while slated for the next release (2024.3) which is planned to roll out on September 4th.

Attempts to unbundle agreements may now be met with a new, unexpected popup.

Updates contained in the ConnectWise PSA’s recent 2024.11 patch release, rolled out starting July 25th, 2024, prevent agreements from being unbundled if the child agreement has been invoices through the parent agreement. Trying to unbundle a child agreement invoiced through the parent will result this is the message:

The comment from ConnectWise is that this was an intended change to prevent calculation errors with invoicing agreement that been bundled, invoiced, and then unbundled.

How will this change impact you?

If a client’s parent agreement changes, both parent and child agreements must be cancelled and recreated and rebundled. This may require remapping and resyncing to third party tools used for billing integrations with agreement additions. Not ideal.
